The Healer's Guide To Doing The Work You're Meant To Do: A Guide for Current and Aspiring Healers: Practical Tools, Philosophies and Self-Care Strategies

The Healer's Guide To Doing The Work You're Meant To Do is a practical and reflective handbook for both aspiring and practicing healers, who want clarity, confidence and realistic guidance as they develop their healing path. Drawing from over a decade of personal experience, the author explores what it truly means to be a healer, challenges common myth around healing, and emphasizes that healing is a shared human capacity rather than a mystical title. The book blends philosophical reflection with grounded real-world advice on certification versus licensing, ethical practice, self-care, and building a sustainable healing business rather than promising instant success. It encourages patience, intuition, integrity and professionalism.

Sylvia Kiliwia Mann is a healer, Reiki practitioner, and former registered geriatric nurse whose career spans from conventional healthcare and holistic healing. Her professional life includes years of hands on experience caring for the elderly and chronically ill individuals, alongside a deep commitment to complementary healing practices. Over time, Sylvia navigated the challenges many healers face-self doubt, lack of mentorship, public skepticism, and uncertainty around certification and business structure. These experiences shape her writing, which is grounded, transparent and rooted in lived reality rather than theory.

In The Healer's Guide To Doing The Work You're Meant To Do, Sylvia presents herself not as an expert, but as a fellow traveler offering honest inside, encouragement, and practical wisdom. Her work centers on confidence, ethics, personal responsibility, and compassion for both clients and practitioners, supporting healers who are ready to step forward with clarity and integrity.

Sylvia is also a certified life coach, and has dedicated this part of her life to help others to see beyond the problems and challenges, but rather see opportunities instead by achieving their dreams and goals.

Sylvia lives with her cat Norton in the countryside in Ontario, Canada.
