Healing the Divide: Recognizing and Addressing Racial Trauma in Education

Born from decades of lived experience as an educator, cultural advocate, and lifelong learner, this book is both a resource and a call to action. It challenges educators to move beyond rhetoric and recognize racial trauma as a deeply human reality that affects students, classrooms, and communities every day. Through real-life stories, practical strategies, and reflective guidance, it offers a path toward healing and equity—starting with the willingness to show up, listen, and act with intention.

Whether you're a veteran teacher, an aspiring educator, or a school leader, this book equips you to foster inclusive, responsive classrooms where every voice is seen and valued. You'll gain tools to address bias, build trust, celebrate cultural identity, and reclaim your own voice along the way.

This is more than professional development—it’s an invitation to be part of a more just and compassionate future in education.
