Synopsis
Based on published studies and the authors' own research and clinical experience, Healing With Homeopathy gives you the latest evidence on how, why, and when this therapy works. It shows you how homeopathy developed, provides guidelines for finding a reliable homeopathic practitioner, and most of all, offers a "toolbox" of homeopathic treatments.
Reviews
This is the most concise, useful, and practical book on homeopathy this reviewer has come across. Jonas, director of the National Institutes of Health Office of Alternative Medicine, and Jacobs, a prominent researcher in the area, have written a clear, well-balanced description of what this therapy is, explaining why it works for certain diseases, describing its history, and telling how one can use it on one's own for certain conditions. Unlike many other books in this area, this book makes clear that "homeopathy is essentially a method of applying drugs." Case histories include some where homeopathy did not produce useful results. An especially helpful appendix provides a table of clinical research that indicates the percentage of patients who actually improve using homeopathic remedies. Highly recommended for medical, public, and academic libraries.?Natalie Kupferberg, Ferris State Univ., Big Rapids, Mich.
