Bitterness, frustration, self-anger, and the realities of prison life leave many prisoners and their families feeling hopeless. For those who have served lengthy terms and others who are facing years of incarceration, the feelings of despair can be overwhelming and never-ending. Healing Our Imprisoned Minds shows prisoners and others how to find peace of mind and meaning in their daily lives. In 29 beautifully written but practical essays and exercises, author and prisoner Patrick Middleton, Ph.D., shows readers how to dissolve their bitterness, change their perspectives, work on their flaws gradually, practice empathy, live each day with a purpose, and much more.
Healing Our Imprisoned Minds provides a road map for those who want to heal emotionally and live a meaningful existence.

This review is from: Healing Our Imprisoned Minds: A People's Guide to Hope and Freedom (Paperback)
"...great inspiration, a guide to a better, happier existence (with) practical and simple (concepts) to change lives, minds, attitudes and outlooks ... a valuable resource.
Middleton's wealth of knowledge is conveyed ... a great job showing parallels between inmates and free people.
"...this isn't a book that is meant to be "finished," rather re-examined and studied multiple times over.

Patrick (earned all his degrees) in prison... Now he has developed a unique system enabl(ing) anyone ...to follow ...his guidance...for breaking the chains of bondage, whether.. in a physical ...or ... psychological prison.
I honor and praise Patrick's book ... because I have been there and I know the difference between a hustler and a brilliant mind destined to pave a way...towards excellence. I highly recommend this book to everyone who is fed up with the same old same old. Patrick gets four stars, my highest rating.
