Health and Safety in Welding and Allied Processes, Fifth Edition

The welding industry is one inherently susceptible to health and safety risks. Therefore, it is essential for employees and managers in this field to be aware of the risks and safety measures necessary to minimize them, as well as current legislative safety guidelines.

This fifth edition of Health and Safety in Welding and Allied Processes has been extensively revised to take into account recent advances in technology and legislative changes both in the UK and USA. Beginning with a description of the core safety requirements, it goes on to describe the special hazards found in the welding environment - noise, radiation, fumes, and gases, etc. - in terms of their effects and the strategies that can be adopted to avoid them. The book explains hazards clearly and concisely, describes how they arise, and suggests practical methods to achieve safe working conditions.

This book serves as an excellent reference source for welders, their managers, and health and safety practitioners who have welding and related processes taking place within their companies.
