"A valuable reminder of the value of fighting for peace." ― Kirkus Reviews
With the increasing number of destructive wars and deadly international conflicts, peacebuilding and peacekeeping have become global priorities. This book helps us understand the challenges for those involved in conflict resolution across a range of organizations and professions. At the Heart of Conflict: Talking Resolution offers 20 first-person accounts of the differing approaches taken in a wide range of international conflicts and peace processes as well as the solutions found by those in jobs on the ground. This book is an essential read for those studying conflict resolution, international relations, or working in the field, looking to know more about the lived experiences of UN officials, translators, ambassadors, NGOs and military personnel.
