Hear of My Heart is a love story that spans more than 50 years.

They fell in love at the University of Texas, but a terrible tragedy, a strict code of behavior, misunderstandings, marriages, separations, children and hard times, all placed obstacles in their path, yet their love never waned.

Neither of them had led happy lives. Neither of them had the love they sought. Yet, they persevered.

After 22 years, fate stepped in and this couple found each other once again and they happiness they had created for each other when they had barely been out of their teens.

Heart of My Heart will reach down into your sould to renew your faith in finding that special person. It will cause your heart to sing and make you thankful for the very special people you already have in your life.

About Bill Harris

Born and educated through the 8th grade in New York City, Bill spent the next four years at a military prep school in Staunton, Virginia. He graduated from the University of Texas where he played on the UT Longhorn Football teams of 1949, 1950, and 1951.

After graduation he held the commission of 1st Lieutenant in the US Army between 1954 and 1956. Afterward, he returned to Houston and worked as a life insurance agent for the next 40 years. When he left the insurance company he didn't retire. Instead, he and his wife moved to Round Top, Texas where they have owned and operated a Bed and Breakfast since 1989.

He now spends much of his time writing and helping his wife Frances run their 17 bedroom Country Inn.

About Joan R. Neubauer

Joan R. Neubauer, published in national and regional publications, has written on a variety of subjects including history, camping, nutrition, business, wedding planning, writing, journaling, and personal biographies. A teacher and public speaker, Joan addresses a wide array of subjects for organizations, writers groups, corporations, and has hosted a weekly, thirty-minute, on-the-air writers club near Houston, Texas. In addition, she teaches classes and workshops on the subject of writing, journaling and autobiographies, and hosts a monthly TV segment with Georgetown authors on "Georgetown Roundup," a Cable Channel 10 production.

Joan is the author of The Complete Idiot's Guide to Journaling, From Memories to Manuscript: The Five-Step Method of Writing Your Life Story, and Dear Diary: The Art and Craft of Writing a Creative. She is also co-author of Triumph: The Autobiography of Bonnie Pennington, and Down But Not Out, with Houston undercover cop Tom Docherty.
