The 4 x 3 in. book within is bound in green leather over boards, with the title and author name stamped in gilt and black on covers and spine in a unique design. The text-block is hand-painted burgundy, with endpapers of textured voile cloth over printed text.? Published by Edition Hansj?rg Mayer in 1985, Heart of a Humument is a miniaturized version of Tom Phillips' seminal altered bookwork,??A Humument. This design binding of Heart of a Humument?was produced by an unknown binder for a competition, using the text block printed by Staib + Mayer in Stuttgart, Germany for the Edition Hansj?rg Mayer trade edition.
