Black box with removable lid, covered in black and gold paper. Book within bound in black leather over boards, with blind-stamping, hand-painting, and hand-tooling. Edges of the text block have been hand-painted in black and gold, as have the pastepapers, to match the box. Though not stated as such per the colophon, this copy produced by an unspecified binder in a binding competition, using the text block from the 1985 Edition Hansj?rg Mayer edition of The Heart of A Humument, and was purchased by Phillips from the binder directly, circa 1988. This is from his personal collection. Fine in a fine box. A unique item.
