Slightly smaller book, brown cloth, gilt bright on spine, 306 pages. Author was Harvard Professor of Anthropology, related to famous Howells. Photos throughout. DJ beneath mylar, price-clipped, but price stamped nearby (4.50) DJ beautifully color-illustrated by Artzbashaff, inside covers and adjacent end papers show world map with names of tribes from the English to the Yakut, and Arunta--lightly browned. Photo of author on back of DJ. DJ has very tiny tear with slight surface wear at top front tip, light wear at bottom tip, very slight with wear along spine top edge, tiny nicks with slight wear at spine bottom left and right edge, light wrinkle along spinefold left edge near bottom, light browning to back beneath photo. Good+ DJ/Very Fine book.
