'Heaven Promises No Favours' continues in this, the second part of Peta Knight's sweeping tale of love, life and loss, as Gregoire deals with the devastating consequences of the Nicole's accident. Left to care for their infant daughter, Guillese, he begins to fall apart. With the help of those around him, those who loved Nicole like he did, the pieces begin to be put back together. However, though Guillese is the image of her mother, Greg quickly realises that, in many disturbing ways, she is nothing like her mother at all. Relentless turmoil lies ahead for Gregoire and Guillese, and it is up to those who care about them most to make sure their future - and their relationship - does not collapse beyond all repair.

About the Author
Peta has been writing since she was quite young. Born in Teddington, one of four siblings, she was educated at a tiny private church school in Putney [fees three shillings per week] and then a technical college in Wandsworth. Unlike her siblings she was never interested in higher education and could not wait until the end of the day when she could indulge in "childish scribblings", as her parents called it. Later she dabbled in a course with the London school of Art, then worked for Vogue Fashions selling dress patterns in a strange little office in a London back street. She married when she was twenty one and they produced four children who, between them, presented them with twelve fantastic grandchildren. There has been tragedy but also much love and happiness over the years. Peta would like to thank her eldest son Clive for taking the time to promote this book, the first of a trilogy.
