Hebrew Crash Course. This item is unavailable.Hebrew Crash Course

From your very first letter to mastering the Hebrew verb system — one all-in-one textbook, built from 12 years of real teaching experience.

That's the promise of the Hebrew Crash Course — HCC for short.

What makes HCC different?

This textbook is handmade in the age of AI — designed from scratch, specifically for Hebrew, by a teacher who has spent 12 years guiding learners to fluency.

Many Hebrew courses are full of fluff, lack methodological consistency, or were built for "any language" and adapted for Hebrew. HCC follows a clear, old-fashioned structure that actually works:

Vocabulary (flashcards + audio) → Reading text (audio) → Grammar explanation → Translation and listening exercises (answer keys + audio)

The field has been largely empty since HaYesod — to my mind the greatest Hebrew textbook ever made, and a direct inspiration for this one. HaYesod is a masterpiece, but it's showing its age and never had answer keys. HCC stands on those shoulders: language and examples fully up to date, grammar explained hands-on rather than through linguistic theory, page design built to aid understanding, and a unique learner-centered verb grouping system (Groups I–VI) that makes the Hebrew verb system finally click.

Core digital tools — audio and flashcards — are free. HebrewCrashCourse.com also offers an optional subscription with 60+ interactive grammar exercises and additional reading materials.

Book structure — 4 parts, 20 chapters:

• Part 1 (Ch. 1–4): Alphabet, vowel markers, gender, plurals, definite article
• Part 2 (Ch. 5–10): Present tense — all verb groups, possession, object markers
• Part 3 (Ch. 11–15): Past and future — first steps, the "butterfly method"
• Part 4 (Ch. 16–20): Complete past and future, imperatives, passive voice

Who is this for?

Complete beginners / learners returning to Hebrew / self-studiers / adult learners outside Israel. CEFR: A1–B1.

Also included: bilingual dictionaries, full conjugation tables for all six verb groups, answer key, and appendix with pronunciation guide, transliteration, preposition and number charts, and a methodology note.
