4� (cm. 21 x 15) - 2 parti in un volume, doppio frontesp. con marca editoriale, alcune iniziali figurate xilogr., pp. (16), 500; (12), 464. Mezza pergamena ottocentesca con tassello e titolo dor. Raccolta di novelle di Cinzio Giraldi (Ferrara, 1504 ? 1573), che si immaginano narrate su una nave da un gruppo di gentildonne e gentiluomini, che erano scampati dal ?sacco di Roma" del 1527. Le novelle sono complessivamente centotredici: due di queste sono particolarmente conosciute perch� ispirarono Shakespeare per le trame di Otello e di Misura per Misura. Rara seconda edizione (la prima fu stampata a Mondov� nel 1565). Qualche forellino di tarlo alle ultime cc. che tocca minimamente il testo e leggere ossidazioni della carta, comunque un buon esemplare. Seller Inventory # 000176
