Alan has also illustrated several Helm ID Guides, including Sylvia Warblers, Kingfishers, Bee-eaters and Rollers and Finches and Sparrows, as well as contributing to field guides such as Birds of the Indian Subcontinent, Birds of Japan and Birds of Argentina.
