Jessel was an American comedian, actor, writer, composer, and producer, whose skill as a dinner speaker earned him the honorary title of Toastmaster General of the United States in his later years. His plays and movie scripts were never major successes but his marriages, divorces, and affairs were the thinks that kept him in the news and the talk of the town. Condition: Good. Most items will be dispatched the same or the next working day. A copy that has been read but remains in clean condition. All of the pages are intact and the cover is intact and the spine may show signs of wear. The book may have minor markings which are not specifically mentioned. A good condition copy written by George Jessel. This copy does not come with a dust jacket. Some light shelf wear and a damp mark on the bottom half of the front cover. In a great state for it's age with clean internal contents and fine binding with looseness but no slack pages. Moderate tanning on the page edges. Centre of the pages are generally brighter. The BRIGHT dust jacket has a few small chips/tears and looks lovely under the new mylar cover I've added! The book is sturdy and clean but the pages are VERY TANNED! There is a wartime disclaimer which means this book was printed during WWII and the paper stock used was very acidic and brittle.
