How to Help Your Child With Homework: Every Caring Parent's Guide to Encouraging Good Study Habits and Ending the Homework Wars : For Parents of Chi

Book by Radencich, Marguerite C., Schumm, Jeanne Shay

This well-written, informative book is essential reading for parents. The authors have provided a sound basis for dealing with homework questions and problems. The section on troubleshooting deals with organization, preparing for tests, and handling disagreements with teachers. The rest of the work is divided into chapters for each subject area. Concrete ideas and examples are given. Every chapter also contains a series of questions often asked by parents. The answers are straightforward and practical. The final chapter contains a number of worksheet masters. Most are well developed; the book report section is weak. However, the wealth of superb information makes this an excellent source for teachers and parents. Joanne Troutner, Tippecanoe Sch. Corp., Lafayette, Ind.
