A Self Help Guide to Radical Imagination Therapy is a spin-off of our first book: The Principles and Methods of Radical Imagination Therapy which was written primarily for therapists. The purpose of this book is to give the reader a means of helping themselves without the aid of a professional therapist. Having said this, it is important to recognize that RIT is a powerful tool for change and that the techniques utilized require that they be applied with care and in a positive way. Throughout the book, readers will be reminded of this. The RIT methods recommended are based on the Neuro-Linguistic Programing (NLP) presupposition that imagination shares the same neurology as real memories and once installed, these memories have the potential for powerful positive psychological change. Unfortunately, these same principles and techniques can be applied in a negative way as well. This book is all about positive change
