About the Author

Karen Daughtry, M.A., HTCP, EMT certified in Healing Touch in 2000, and was fortunate to study under Janet Mentgen, founder of Healing Touch, for many HT classes and HT Advanced Practice, starting in the 1990s. In addition to Healing Touch, Karen has explored and practiced vibrational healing and energy work for over 15 years as a Reiki Master/Teacher, practitioner of The Reconnection®, and Certified Clinical Aromatherapist. She defines energy work as personally empowering, and loves to de-mystify this knowledge for her clients and students. Karen has a private practice in Evanston, Illinois.,

Darlene Nelson is an Illinois-certified elementary schoolteacher dedicated to educating and caring for children, with over 30 years' experience teaching grades K-8. She is also a practitioner of Sound Healing, The Reconnection® and a Reiki Master/Teacher with an energy-work practice in Chicago. Her goal is to help each of her students and clients achieve clarity and healing on all levels.

Darlene Nelson and Karen Daughtry are both faculty members of the Infinity Foundation in Highland Park, Illinois, an education center devoted to holistic studies.
