This image is incredibly rare to come by and forms part of a legendary suite of paintings created by Moebius. Printed in exacting detail on quality stock, the print brings together classic elements of Moebius's visual lexicon - from energy beams bouncing between characters like in 'Starwatcher A l'Etoile', to the desert landscape and floating movement of the protagonist (often associated with powerful characters depicted in Moebius's work), not to mention the nod to Arzach's pterodactyl-like bird flying on by. This is a gorgeous tribute to the legendary Jimi Hendrix. Moebius was asked in 1975 to make an illustration for the cover of an upcoming compilation album with the first 2 records by the Jimi Hendrix Experience; Are You Experienced and Axis: Bold As Love. The artist chose one photo from a set he received, depicting Hendrix as he was eating. Moebius' artistic rendition became the cover of the reissue and has become an iconic image of Hendrix throughout the years.
