Henry of Ghent's Summa of Ordinary Questions

This book presents an introduction and English translation of five articles from Henry of Ghents Summa of Ordinary Questions; they are on theology as a science itself and in relation to other sciences, on the final and efficient causes of theology, and on the authority of sacred scripture.

Henry of Ghent was a student of Albert the Great and professor of theology at the University of Paris.


--- The translator, Roland J. Teske, S.J., is Professor emeritus of Philosophy at Marquette University. He specializes in St. Augustine and medieval philosophers, especially William of Auvergne and Henry of Ghent. He has translated ten volumes of works of St. Augustine, four volumes of works of William of Auvergne, and three volumes of works of Henry of Ghent.
