The very scarce second edition of this work.A pamphlet containing articles by Patrick Pearse, all of which had originally been published in 'Irish Freedom' between June 1913 and January 1914.These essays form a contemporary commentary on the period leading up to the Easter Rising, one of the most important periods in Irish history.The author, Patrick Pearse, was one of the leaders of the 1916 Easter Rising. He was subsequently executed, and has become a figure showing the embodiment of the rebellion. He was executed the year following this publication.No 2. of the 'Bodenstown Series'. Disbound pamphlet, as issued. Externally, the outer wraps are detached but present. Scorch marks with loss to the gutter, faint scorch marks to the gutter of the textblock. Internally, firmly bound.
