In the original pictorial red cloth binding. Externally, sound with rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Fading to the spine and the odd small mark to the boards. A split in the cloth to the rear joint of volume one resulting in light fraying. Small splits in the cloth to the head and tail of the spine. Hinges starting but firm to volume one with rear hinge tender to volume two. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting. Contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper. Chipping to the front endpapers. Good. Seller Inventory # 896T45
