Item description from seller

This VG book was published by New York Books in 1913. It is square, rather clean, with both front panel corners very lightly bumped with slight fraying. Head and heel of the spine are also bumped, also with slight fraying. The front panel applique is very clean and nearly intact except for a small chip at the top fore corner. Except for a penciled inscription, dated 1915, on the FFEP, the interior is completely free of writing, stray marks and paper damage of any type; several pages have stains that are confined to the margins. The paper--including the end papers--is moderately toned and a bit stiff but still somewhat flexible and not at all brittle. The hinges are tight and strong. The story is 144 pages, followed by a section entitled "The Insects of the United States". The entire book is 188 pages. The book lists through title #6, the entire 6-book breeder set.
