Dan Peavler grew up on the eastern plains of Colorado where he graduated from Bennett High School. He played on the Metropolitan State College of Denver's basketball team from 1970 until 1973. He graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 1975. He and his family moved to Littleton, Colorado in 1989. He volunteered hundreds of hours as a youth sports coach and spent five years as a basketball coach with the Littleton High School girls' basketball program. Having worked in construction with his own masonry company and experienced the excitement of the ups and downs of the real estate market as a real estate broker, while enjoying the elation of being a part-time author, he has found nothing more fulfilling in life than spending time with his exceptionally large family.
