High Performance Networking

High Performance Networking is a state-of-the-art book that deals with issues relating to the fast-paced evolution of public, corporate and residential networks. It focuses on the practical and experimental aspects of high performance networks and introduces novel approaches and concepts aimed at improving the performance, usability, interoperability and scalability of such systems. High Performance Networking is suitable as a secondary text for a graduate level course on high performance networking, and as a reference for researchers and practitioners in industry.

Harmen R. van As is full-professor at the Vienna University of Technology and head of the Institute of Communication Networks established in 1996. He has served in technical and organizing committees of many international conferences, and chairs the IFIP Working Group 6.10 on Photonic Networking.
