About the Author
Patricia K. Zingheim and Jay R. Schuster are partners in Shuster-Zingheim and Associates Inc., a pay and rewards consulting firm founded in 1985 in Los Angeles. They advise companies about aligning pay and total rewards with business strategy and consult on total rewards strategy, variable pay and incentives, base pay, performance management, executive compensation, sales compensation, team pay and recognition. They are co-authors of two best-selling pay books, Pay People Right! Breakthrough Reward Strategies to Create Great Companies (2000) and The New Pay: Linking Employee and Organizational Performance (1996), as well as more than 100 articles in business and professional journals and magazines.
