From This High Place: Reflections on Living a Life of Courage

When Ken Standley first published this inspiring volume, under the title Your Death Is None of Your Business, his goal was to come to terms with his own difficulties: troubling health problems and the specter of impending death. He wanted to share what he'd learned with others: that living in the shadow of fear and sorrow can destroy our souls, and that no matter what our situation, no matter how persistent or severe our anxieties, we never lose our potential for triumph if we allow love and passion to be our guides in every aspect of our lives.
In a world of stresses large and small, Ken Standley's words of encouragement and insight give us the perspective we need to begin living in a new way, today. For centuries, philosophers have asked "What is the meaning of life?" The question, perhaps, should be "What is the meaning of my life?" With this book, we can begin to find our answer - and to feel the power and majesty of our own unique life's journey.
