From the book, "There is no doubt that the buildings in which we live and work affect our life and daily well-being. Think of all the time we spend in those buildings--how many times a day we go in or out of those buildings. . . . We felt that if we were so interested in the buildings and their illustrious tenants, others might be also. So we began our quest to find which buildings to photograph, which to write about, and which might have people living in them who would be as fascinating and incredibly interesting as the buildings themselves. Here is the result.".
