This VG+ quality, format #2 book as per Mattson & Davis, was published by Altemus in 1913; it is 7-1/2" with cream cloth binding and red lettering; the front shows a boy fishing with a flyrod, in black & red; spine has title, author, Altemus leaf / acorn, series name, & publisher, in red; plain end pages; frontis +3, all on plain paper. The book is square, is very clean; the book is free of edge dings with both lower corners very lightly bumped. Spine ends are bumped, with very slight color loss but no tears or fraying; both top and bottom edges have modest wear. The exterior looks superb for a 100+ year old boy's book. The interior is completely free of writing, stray marks and paper damage of any sort; several pages (97-98 & 103-104 have muted stains that do not hamper reading.
