While most of these concern historic military hardware, including aircraft and warships, his volumes on military vehicles, meticulously researched by David and his wife Denise, remain the genre for which he is most recognized. This recognition reached its pinnacle in June 2015, when he was presented the coveted Bart Vanderveen Award by the Military Vehicle Preservation Association, given in recognition of "...the individual who has contributed the most to the historic preservation of military vehicles worldwide."

If you are located OUTSIDE of The United States, and you are ordering a heavy or over-sized book, the shipping costs are estimated to be about 42 US dollars. This is the cost of the Global Priority Flat Rate Box. I agree that this shipping cost seems excessive, but this is what the Postal Service charges me, and this is the cheapest rate I have been able to locate for large books weighing over 1.8 KG.
