Perngjin Frank Pai received his BS in mechanical engineering from Tamkang University in Taiwan, his MS in mechanical engineering from National Taiwan University, and his PhD in engineering mechanics from Virginia Tech. He is C. W. LaPierre Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He published about 160 journal and conference papers and co-authored with Dr. Ali H. Nayfeh of Virginia Tech a book entitled Linear and Nonlinear Structural Mechanics.
