Brown hardcover in decent shape. Half bound cloth binding. Signs of use, age, throughout, but remains a sturdy copy. Some marking, writing, within, but it is quite minimal, and no writing is obscured. No dust jacket, possibly as published. Covers worn somewhat at edges, but they remain sturdy, with a solid binding. Pages show signs of staining from age, with a glue stain on the left side of the title page. Most stains are surface level however, with the interiors of the pages remaining clean. Quite the little linguistic oddity, being a handbook of Hindustani distributed throughout the Indian schools of Fiji. A fascinating bit of 20th century colonial history, and an informative dictionary as well. Each book is checked by a real-life bookseller, and is guaranteed to be as described.
