Add to basketSingle sheet, 28 by 15 ½ inches. Printed on both sides, with the reverse being the dust jacket for the book, "Born in the Bronx," a book that documented the visual history of early hip hop. SIGNED by hip hop pioneer and legend, Grand Wizzard Theodore (GWT Theodore), flyer artist Buddy Esquire, along with photographer Joe Conzo. The map is an older version of the New York Subway map, with 30 numbers corresponding with entries along the left side, all giving the general locations of important sites in the Bronx related to the rise and growth of hip hop. Grand Wizzard Theodore is DJ, musician, and a pioneer in hip hop, credited with creating the scratching technique. Buddy Esquire is known for his artistry on hip hop flyers. Joe Conzo is a photographer perhaps best known for his photos chronicling the early hip hop scene in the Bronx, largely between the years 1976 to 1984. VERY GOOD+ condition with a few tiny wrinkles.
