Faint dampspotting to endleaves, "To Felix/ the ever helpful critic/ Ambrose Doskow" to front free endpaper. $150. * Doskow, a notable New York City lawyer, was a 1932 graduate of Columbia Law School who clerked for Benjamin Cardozo in the U.S. Supreme Court from 1933 to 1934. It's possible that this book was inscribed to Felix Frankfurter. In 1933 Frankfurter was an advisor to President Roosevelt and lived in Washington, DC. During that time he cultivated relationships with several Supreme Court clerks and young lawyers who were serving in the Federal government. Seller Inventory # 79820
