Woodcuts; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 516 pages; [1834] L. H. Young. Soundly bound in full calf leather binding. Leather rubbed and worn at spine with the gilt struck titles at spine rubbed away. Appears to have had an exposure to caustic spill along the bottom edge of the cover board with blackened cracking in a shallow crescent shape. Milder similar spill exposure top edge of the cover board. Light to moderate damp stain to edges of the first few leaves. Scattered regular spotting and foxing to page stock. Illustrated with numerous woodcuts, two per plate. Top eighth of the title page and preface leafe trimmed away almost certainly to remove prior ownership. Good or a little better.
