Historical Capital Regulation of Banks. Standards and Influence of Basel Accords

The following topics will be discussed: What institution is charging international banking supervision? What are Basel Accords? What are the standards in Basel Accords? With those topics, the article is divided into 4 sections. The background about the forming of BCBS and the early works for issuing Basel 1988 Accord will be introduced in the second chapter. The Basel I Accord, the Basel II Accord and the Basel III Accord will be presented in the third, fourth and fifth chapter.
