Historical Dictionary of Methodism

Methodism is one of the world's most vigorous religious movements with a worldwide membership of around twenty-nine million. The "Historical Dictionary of Methodism" is the first major reference work on this subject since the publication of "The Encyclopedia of World Methodism" in 1974. Nearly forty Methodist theologians and historians, experts in their particular specialty, contributed dictionary entries that provide basic information about some of the important persons, doctrines, events, and activities.
