Half vellum, vellum tips, and marbled paper boards binding. Edges of pages are red. End pages are marbled as front and back cover. Gilt lines along borders of leather. Slight foxing on first few pages and frontispiece, but most of the text is clear and bright throughout. Slight wearing at hinges of front cover and spine. First and only edition, printed in an edition of 750 copies. Red's work was originally delivered as a discourse before the Historical Society of Delaware at Wilmington, on the occasion of its first anniversary.
