John William Bradley (1830-1916) was a British librarian and manuscript scholar. This book presents a history of manuscript illumination, supplemented at the conclusion of each section by lists detailing manuscripts and fragments from the National Art Library at the Victoria and Albert Museum. Additionally, it includes a list of recent significant works on illumination acquired by the National Art Library.
