5 1/3" x 7 1/2". xiii, 152 pgs.; h.b.; Frontis & b&w photos throughout; a book of selected readings of 3 distinct types of materials; first ten brief, simple passages, based upon photographs of scenes characteristically French; 2nd there are 23 short dramatic episodes & stories telling how the French people live & have a distinctly French flavor; thirdly, included are twenty personal letters (Quelques lettres pratiques) by Frenchmen; thus there is vocabulary range withibn a limit of approx. 1600 words & idiomatic expressions; after the readings there are questions & exercise sections & 40+ page vocabulary/definitions section; normal board wear; previous owner's signature on ffep; brown stains on pgs. 4-9; notes in French by previous owner on rep & frep; else book is clean, tight & very usable.
