About this title

Synopsis

African Americans have a deep, rich history. Many of the accomplishments of African Americans have been overlooked, and/or hidden, until recently. This book aims to uncover many interesting and surprising facts about Africans/African Americans; their heritage and history. The Author Janice G. Logan, uses the words African, African American, and Black People interchangeably, when referring to Black people in America. However, the historical accounts in this book are relevant to Black people throughout the African diaspora. Although this is written as a children's book, it is a book that will interest and inform people from 5 to 105 years of age. The History of African Americans: From Pyramids, to Poverty, to Pride, provides the reader an instant connection with the author and the historical facts, which carefully unfold on each page. The book illustrated, by ADOFO, is presented in the most colorful and attractive way, which brings the entire narrative to life.
