Attractively bound in full calf with the original covers front and back incorporated. With new endpapers, now a tight strong copy. The text of 588 pages is generally very good, cleanish and readable, perhaps a little faded. There are a few wormholes and the occasional tape repaired page. With several full page plates including three folding colored colored maps. A pencil notation states that 2 plates are lacking.
