An early 20th century publication detailing American history from pre-European contact to the time of publishing. According to the source, "The whole work will contain not less than twenty colored plates, sixteen photogravures, three hundred twenty five full-page engravings, eleven hundred woodcuts in the text, and ten colored maps." As detailed, each issue is richly illustrated. The History of Our Country by Edward S. Ellis. Published C. 1900, Cincinnati, by The Jones Brothers Publishing Company.70 (of 72) periodic parts, each c. 35-40 pages. The two missing issues are in the 50's and these pages are supplied to this set with the publisher's issued book format volume which contains them (and many more around them).
