407 pages to volume 1 with map frontispiece and engraved illustrations and hieroglyphics, Volume 2 has 411 pages + large folding map as frontispiece and again illustrations throughout. Partly unopened with uncut edges. Original 19th century publishers blind and gilt stamped pebble crimson colour cloth, gilt motifs on covers and gilt titles on spines. Original chocolate endpapers. The spines have some loss at top edge, and corners bumped, other minor imperfections, contents very good and text tight and clean. Tall octavo. Seller Inventory # 2747

We very rarely use "fine" or "mint" as a description, mainly due to the age and the fact that 99.9% of what we sell has been pre-owned and therefor Fine would not be a term for a book we sell despite its fine-like appearance. We always take items back unreservedly if not in the condition as described. We always try to describe fully.
