Unfortunatly vol 1 is missing so this set starts with death of Charles the Second.Vol 1 & 2 dated 1849 the other volumes 1855 but they are otherwise a matching set and part of the Collection of British Authors Collection.Descripion is difficult so please email for a scan if interested.Brown covers with a 2cm tan frame set 2cm from edges on back and front.Frame outlined with gilt and corners disected in gilt each having a gilt decoraction at the end to front. Gilt titles and date on tan to spines.Very slight shelf wear. A really attractive set from the library of Viscountess Wolsey - as the printed bookplate in each volume attests to.(There is also a small pencil note in each on the ffep "South Sitting Room") Some very faint foxing to some volumes but does not effect the print.
