1150 pp. Rares, ledergebundenes Originalexemplar mit zwei ganzseitigen Kupferstichen von Laurence Echard und König George I. Ehemaliger Besitzer war John Lynch, Dean von Canterbury (1734-60) und königlicher Kaplan (1727-34). Im Vorsatz finden sich sein Aufkleber und außerdem wenige Notizen anderer Vorbesitzer. Buch mit vielen weiteren kleinen Stichen und Verzierungen zum Start neuer Kapitel. Originaler Ledereinband der Zeit, daher, wie zur damaligen Zeit üblich, Ledereinband mit eingebunden. Mit Goldverzierungen auf Buchdeckel, -rücken und -innenkanten, diese jedoch teilweise verblasst. Seiten und Schnitt altersgemäß ein wenig angedunkelt, ansonsten Seiten jedoch in hervorragendem Zustand. Ledereinband etwas berieben und bestoßen und am Gelenk stellenweise restauriert, dadurch sehr stabiler Buchblock und optisch ansprechendes Exemplar. // Original copy from 1720, leather bound. With two copperplates, from Laurence Echard and King George I. Former owner of the book was John Lynch, Dean of Canterbury (1734-60) and Royal chaplain to the King (1727-34). His sign is sticked in the endpaper and there are some notes from other former owners. There are a lot of other plates and ornaments at the beginning of new chapters. With paled gold ornaments. Leather with small signs of wear and tear, spine partly restored which makes the book stable and nice-looking. Pages and copperplates in very good condition.
