Cracking tio hinge at title page of Volume I, but secure.Volume I - 920 pages, including 'Notes to Volume I' and 'Life of Smollett'. Volume II - 600 pages including 'Notes on Volume II' plus a number of blank pages at rear. Volume III - 872 pages. All page edges are red. All three volumes are clean and tidy throughout, and firm. None of the volumes are dated. The volumes have obviously been rebound in the relatively recent past. Illustrated with black and white plates.
