Very Good condition. Magnificent patina. Full leather, each of the four volumes (nearly 6 x 9 inches) has its spine in VG condition with red and black morocco labels with gilt lettering. Beautiful shelf appearance. Extraordinary fold-out chart (8 ½ x 12 inches) at start of Vol. IV citing the House of "Charles Steuart, King of England" and followed by about 60 signatures, each followed by its seal. A few tears in pages. Vol. III has a tear on its front, measuring about four inches by one inch, and a small one on the rear. Vol. II has a slight tear at top right corner. Binding on all volumes is VG. Mild to moderate foxing throughout. Some endpapers stuck together. Prev. owners name present in front. Several nice steel engravings, including frontispieces. Light professional restoration. May require additional postage. (Scans available upon request.) Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
