HISTORY OF THE FIRST WORLD WAR, THE New York: Grolier Incorporated 1965 VG/Fair 8vo. 1360 pp. Box containing four volumes is extremely worn to extremities with bumping to corners, scuffing/soiling to faces, splitting to three of the four corners at opening, and old an price tag along with two surface scratch marks on top face. Box is pictorial on outside and has some scuff marks from boards of books along inside of top and bottom edges. Books have grey cloth covered boards with gilt titles on spine and decal on front with purple flecks decorating top text block edge. Light soiling to spine and some spots on faces on all volumes along with some bumping/wear to edges/corners. Volume I and II have some light pencil marks on front cover. Stain on bottom edge of text block on all volumes as well as some foxing to opening edge. Volume IV has light staining in speckles on front cover as well as more severe bumping to bottom two opening corners and an impression stamp on FFEP. All books have pages with some age toning that are held well by binding.
