Some shelf wear and scuffing to the spine, with the gilt lettering and decorations clear and legible. Some discoloration due to scuffing to the leather sections of the boards. Some bumping and scuffing to the corners (more the latter).Writing in ink and pencil on the front endpapers and one rear endpaper. Slight tearing, staining, and moisture stains to the bottom of the text block at points. Overall the text and illustrations are toned but clean and complete, with occasional instances of foxing and pencil markings. The binding is sound.
